Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

1. Return window

You can raise a return request within 7 days from the date of delivery. Requests raised after this window cannot be accepted, with limited exceptions for manufacturing defects covered separately below.

2. What can be returned

Most products can be returned in their original condition. To be eligible:

  • Items must be unworn, unwashed, and undamaged.
  • Original tags, packaging, and invoice must be included.
  • The item must have no marks of usage, perfume, deodorant, or stains.

Non-returnable items:

  • Innerwear, socks, masks, and other items marked "Final sale" on the product page.
  • Customized, personalized, or made-to-order items.
  • Free gifts, samples, or items received as part of a combo where the combo discount cannot be split.
  • Items purchased during clearance sale (clearly marked at checkout) — unless the item received is defective or different from what was ordered.

3. How to raise a return

  1. Sign in to your account and open My Orders.
  2. Open the order and click Request Return.
  3. Choose a reason (size issue, defect, wrong item, etc.) and submit.
  4. Our team will confirm the request within 24 working hours and schedule a free pickup from your address.
  5. Once the courier collects the parcel, please save the courier receipt until your refund is processed.

4. Exchanges

We currently support exchanges for size only, subject to availability. To swap colour or product, please raise a return and place a new order — this is faster than waiting for a stock check. If the new size is unavailable, your return will be processed as a refund.

5. Refund timeline & method

Once your returned parcel is received and quality-checked at our warehouse (typically within 2–3 business days), the refund is initiated as follows:

  • Prepaid orders (UPI / cards / net-banking / wallets) — refunded to the original payment source via Razorpay. Banks typically credit it back in 3–7 business days.
  • Cash on Delivery orders — refunded as a bank transfer (NEFT/IMPS) to the account you provide, or as store credit usable on your next order. Bank transfer usually reflects within 3–5 business days.
  • Partial returns — refunded for the value of the returned items only; coupon discounts are recalculated on the remaining items.
Where is my refund? Once we initiate the refund, you will receive an email with the reference number. If the amount hasn't reflected in your bank/UPI app after the timelines above, please reply to that email with the reference and we will trace it with the gateway.

6. Damaged or wrong item received

If your order arrives damaged or different from what you ordered, write to support@ruhisen.in within 24 hours of delivery with photos of:

  • The outer parcel and courier label.
  • The item showing the issue.
  • The packing slip / invoice inside.

We will arrange a free replacement or a full refund — no return courier needed in such cases.

7. Order cancellations

You can cancel an order any time before it is marked "Dispatched" from your account page or by emailing us. After dispatch, the order will be delivered and you may use the return process above.

  • Prepaid orders: the full amount is refunded to the original payment source within 5–7 business days.
  • COD orders: you may simply refuse delivery at the doorstep — no money was collected, so no refund is required. Please do not place test orders you intend to refuse, as repeated COD refusals may make your phone number ineligible for COD on future orders.
  • RUHISEN-initiated cancellations (e.g., out of stock, suspected fraud, pricing error) — full refund within the same window, and an email explanation.
